Why Shiny Shoes?
Shiny Shoes are “happy shoes” I was taught. My Grandad said;

We chose to go to the New Forest. It was wonderful to tour with Dave, a local guide, and Mark as our driver. Dave was extremely knowledgeable about the history of the area and the sites we visited. He provided interesting commentary and great conversation. Both Mark and Dave were eager to tailor the day to our interests. A couple of highlights were our visits to Exbury Gardens and Buckler’s Hard. I could go on and on about what an excellent trip we had. At the end of the tour, it felt as if we had been out with friends for the day.
We came down from York initially to see the Mary Rose which we did but on a personal level the visit to the Victory was the highlight of our visit to all the attractions on the site. We were given a brilliant tour with lots of detail thanks to Dave our tour guide. Highly recommended as part of the visit to the site. Thanks Dave you did a great job. Will always remember shiny shoes are happy shoes and all the other anecdotes used during our visit.
Dave gave a friend of mine a tour of HMS VICTORY and his explanation of the day at the battle of Trafalgar was so amazing, I felt as though I was living / breathing the battle from VICTORYs main deck! Would thoroughly recommend his guided tour services! Value for money? #bargain
We arranged a weekend in Portsmouth as a birthday treat for our 13-year-old grandson. He planned his itinerary with great care and we enjoyed all the attractions on offer at the Historic Dockyard. The highlight was the guided tour of Victory. The tour guide – David -.was knowledgeable, humorous and entertaining. He made the history of the ship come alive. Our grandson was totally enthralled with the visit. Thanks, you for providing such great value for money too. We will be back so One!
Whilst visiting the historic dockyard we decided we could not miss taking in this magnificent ship. It is in a dry dock and when you board it is like stepping back in time! The attention to detail and relics make you feel you are back in Nelson’s time. We benefitted from a guided tour with Dave (obviously loved his job and gave a great tour!). The tour took an hour, but to wander around and admire the ship was just fantastic.
Well worth a visit – a must!
