One of if not the most recognisable prehistoric monuments in the world. Over 5000 years old and yet still today the reason for its construction is shrouded in mystery?
A newly constructed visitors centre was opened in 2014 which has transformed the experience. You can visit the Neolithic village that was constructed based on archaeological finds in the area, view the collection of artefacts recovered by decades of research and then stand in the 360° theatre and watch the sunrise and sunset as if you were there.
We can then board a shuttle bus to travel the mile route to the Cursus stone circles.
Discover the stories behind the construction, the Sarsen boulders, the Bluestones, the earthworks and Aubrey holes.
